Ministry Calling

To serve as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Worship and Music creating an atmosphere for Praise and Worship by using my gifts, education and experience.  Bringing forth the gospel message in such a way that many come to know the Lord in a personal and intimate way.  Uniting the body to accomplish the great commission and take Christ out to the streets, homes, work places and schools.

Ministry Scriptures

Colossians 3:15 – 17  

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and scriptural songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.  And whenever you do, whether in word of deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Ministry Experience

WORLD IMPACT MUSIC MINISTRIES – Amarillo, TX                     

August 1990 to Present  

Musical Director                                                                                               

Directed all areas of the music ministry. 

• Started this touring concert ministry from the ground up.
• Lead a team of 300 in preparing concerts and other evangelistic outreaches of the ministry.
• Manage an annual budget of 1.3 million.
• Lead all worship services and direct the musical groups of the ministry.

JOY FELLOWSHIP CHURCH – Amarillo, TX                

October 1998 to December 1999

Lay-minister of Worship and Fine Arts

Lead all music productions of the church.  Coordinated the music ministry and sound ministry.

• Worked to build a church choir from the ground up.  The first musical’s performed by the newly formed choir were well received and many came to know the Lord. 
• Installed a system of instruction and mentoring to all people involved in the audio and tape ministry of the church.  Training became the key to building the audio department of the church.
• Designed and installed new sound system, video projection systems and TV monitors.
• Worked to develop the budget for the new music department.  Built the music ministry from the ground up.

SAN JACINTO BAPTIST CHURCH – Amarillo, TX.

June 1995 to October 1998

Lay-minister

Assisted the worship pastor with various aspects of the music ministry of the church.

• Directed the church choir and orchestra as needed.
• Coordinated all technical aspects of the annual Easter Pageant.
• Served as the worship leader when needed.

WEST TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY BAPTIST STUDENT UNION – Canyon, TX. 

September 1993 to April 1995

Served on the student board as Worship Coordinator

• Led praise and worship services for the BSU.
• In charge of all praise and worship for every activity at the center. , Formed a praise and worship team and developed a band.
• Led all praise and worship for “Beach Reach” mission trips.

• Studied general music and composition and worked with vocal coach Dr. Jo Ella Cansler.
• Spent several hours working in music groups.  These groups traveled and spend many hours in concert each year.  This experience proved invaluable in later personal ventures. 

Technical Background

Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage and Outlook), Finale, Cakewalk, Cakewalk - ProAudio, Media 100 and all C.A.D. programs.  Have extensive training in musical production and staging.  Have been involved in the audio/video and lighting teams of several churches; developing training methods to enhance those ministries of the church

In Summary

I believe that I have the experience and talent to be successful in ministry.  God has given me the ability and I surrendered those abilities at a young age to Him and His service.  It is and has been my desire to live up to all God has in store for me and to be used for the advancement of His kingdom.

 In a world full of broken dreams, where truth is hard to find, people are looking for the answers to heart ache and the gaps in their lives.  Now, more than ever, our churches are in need of strong moral leaders to build it up and fulfill our role in the lives of those hurting and lost.

 It is my desire to meet the needs of the church and in that fulfill the call God placed on my life so many years ago.  In that, my life is blessed.
